A Busy Saturday

Grandpa was scheduled to attend a Zone Conference for Ward Mission Leaders and Ward missionaries from 9 until 2 this Saturday, April 12, 2008. He was also scheduled for leadership meetings in connection with Stake Conference at 3 and 5. Then he was supposed to go to the adult session of Stake Conference at 7. Grandma was helping to host a baby shower for Tim's Chrissee at 2 in Newark and was therefore not going to do any of the church meetings. On his way to Dover in the morning Grandpa stopped at the lab. Walking through the parking lot he was reminded it was spring by the flowering trees.

Were he less faithful Grandpa could have gone to the Lake Forest Invitational Track Meet instead of the various leadership meetings.

Grandpa having had a low grade fever and sinus congestion for a week decided to go home and go to bed rather than the 7:00 meeting. When he got home he learned that the shower had gone well. He reported that the meetings, especially in the afternoon, had gone by at a very quick pace.
