Sunday morning was busy getting ready for church. It was fast and testimony meeting because next week is conference. Emily, Aaron and Amanda all bore their testimonies. The theme seemed to be the blessings of having a new baby come into the family. Amanda particularly noted that mom is tired and a lot and sometimes has to take naps during which she can't make anyone practice or do their home work. So Amanda is grateful for that. She said other things but that seems to stand out. They all made me very grateful for the blessings of having Emily come into our family as a new baby some 36 years ago (but whose counting). Sunday afternoon was nap time for some and for others time to finish housecleaning and preparations for a pancake supper with the Elders who came at 4. We had a lovely time. Stories and bedtime. Some visiting for the grown-ups and then bed.

Rachel's mom always has so many people to talk toMonday was a school day for the girls except for Jessie and Sam. Kindergarten was out for Kindergarten round-up, an activity for preschoolers. We had an exciting morning because a new refrigerator came. We had managed since Friday with a half-sized refrigerator that Aaron had borrowed from a friend at work. The old one had died on Thursday. The new one was lovely and the delivery people were remarkably efficient. The new refrigerator is very much like Grandma's new refrigerator in Delaware. The twins came to play with Jessie and Sam. They all got along very well. We had hamburger helper for dinner and then came the highlight of the day, family home evening. Emily announced a new chip system. The girls get chips for speaking kindly to each other and lose them for speaking unkindly. From then on it was a very polite evening. Even the musical chairs (to the Beach Boys) was pretty polite. I think Sam, in particular, might have gotten some assistance from her sisters in finding an open chair.
